Function of Lube oil in a engine as follows:

Lubricating
of bearing and moving engine parts

Cooling
of piston and exhaust gas turbocharger.The oil absorbe energy from hot engine
and transfer it with cooing water in oil cooler.

Sealing
effect between piston ring and cylinder liners
●
Cleaning
and conservation to prevent deposits in
the engine. Deposits caused by combustion and wear are picked up by the
engine oil. some of these deposits are filtered out in the engine oil filter.
